Tour Plan

1 City tour & Depart to the park

Today after having your breakfast early in the morning at your hotel in Kigali, take a short break while preparing yourself for a city tour in Kigali. The driver will be ready to take you at Kigali Genocide memorial, a place of remembrance and learning dedicated to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda (1994).

N.B: The city tours align different places inside Kigali based on your place of interest.

There are more places to visit inside the city like, Inema art center, Kandt House Museum, Nyandungu urban wetland, The museum for campaign against Genocide etc..

As you finish the city tour, you will come back to the Hotel for lunch and prepare yourself for a 167.3 km drive to the park. On reaching the park, you will be able to participate in nature walk with a relaxing adventure, just walking through the trails in the park, watching Mona monkey, vervet monkey and different numbers of bird species..

2 Chimpanzee Trekking

A very wonderful morning, as you normally know in most parks primate tracking, the primate walk starts at 6 am in the morning. The same in Gishwati mukura national park, you will have to wake up early and have your breakfast as well as get your packed lunch due to that the trek might take a long. You will be accompanied by the park ranger on your way hunting all the fascinating primates.

During your walk, you will also have an opportunity to see other mammals including Cats, side stripped jackal, African palm civet, Giant poached rats and black fronted duikers among others. Not forgetting different kinds of bird species like Abyssinian ground thrush; Black faced apalis, strange weaver bird, Rwenzori turaco, Black-billed turaco and many others, just over 83 species at the place. You will be able to learn about their habits, take photos and video with same of the species and watch its daily activities such as hunting, feeding & nesting.

After this good long day trekking, you will have to return to the starting point and drive back to the hotel in Kigali
